The Australian Boat Race boasts a longstanding tradition between Australia’s two oldest Universities, Sydney and Melbourne. Held annually, the event encapsulates the rivalry between two great cities and two great universities.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation in both Melbourne and Sydney, along with the uncertainty of border restrictions and mass gatherings, the University of Melbourne and The University of Sydney have made a mutual decision to cancel the event scheduled for Saturday 16 October.
The organising committee is currently looking into options to potentially reschedule to a new date in early 2022. More information to follow soon.
